Acting Commissioner Bud Selig denied again that he is interested in becoming the full-time commissioner, but added:

“Is it possible my feelings could change at some point in the future? It’s possible, but at this point my position is the same as I’ve stated many times. My priority is to get a labor agreement, at which time we’ll look for a permanent commissioner.”

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported that Selig is considering accepting a full-time assignment and turning the Brewers over to his daughter, club counsel Wendy Selig-Prieb, even if he reaches agreement with Wisconsin legislators on financing for a new stadium.

There is a possibility the club will have to move if the stadium deal falls through. Selig said it could take another two months before the stadium issue is resolved.
