PacifiCare Unit to Grow

CYPRESS — PacifiCare Health Systems said its Florida unit has received approval from the state to expand services to the west-central part of the state.
PacifiCare said this commercial service area expansion will allow it to increase its product marketing to large, mid-size and small groups, as well as individuals.
The company’s PacifiCare of Florida unit has about 51,000 health plan members in south Florida.
