GEORGIA : Rules on Crib Death vs. Homicide Issued

For the first time, the government has issued investigation guidelines to help coroners and police distinguish between crib death and homicide in infants who die suddenly. Crib death is also known as sudden infant death syndrome. The federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta released a standardized, six-page form for noting such things as the position of the infant’s body, suspected injuries and evidence of drug use in the home.
