New York 3, Colorado 2--Right fielder Dante Bichette overran Todd Hundley’s routine fly ball in the third inning, turning it into a run-scoring single that helped the Mets earn the victory at New York.

Bichette and Vinny Castilla each hit their 14th home runs, giving Colorado a 2-0 lead. But after the Met scored two runs in the third, Hundley lifted a high fly to shallow right field.

Bichette had plenty of time to make the play, but he ran in too far, then awkwardly reached back as the ball fell behind him. Jose Vizcaino scored easily from third base.
