Xylan a Subcontractor on GTE’s Army Contract

Xylan Corp., a Calabasas provider of computer networking technology, said it is participating in the U.S. Army’s Outside Cable Rehabilitation II, or OSCAR II, contract that was awarded to GTE Worldwide Telecommunications Services.
OSCAR II is a program to implement voice, video and data communications equipment and infrastructure for the Army and other U.S. defense organizations. As a subcontractor to GTE, Xylan will provide high-performance local-area network-switching products.
The value of the contract was not disclosed.
