Australian Choral Group to Perform
An up-and-coming Australian choral group that has completed a pair of international tours since its debut two years ago will take the stage tonight at Cal Lutheran University.
Led by the Australian conductor Graeme Morton and composer Stephen Leek, the Australian Voices have achieved international fame.
The group’s first release, “Great Southern Spirits,” was well-received for forging new sounds within the choral repertoire. Billing themselves as the creators of a “distinctly Australian” sound, the group performs songs solely by that nation’s composers.
The performance, which is free and open to the public, will take place in the Samuelson Chapel at 8 p.m.
