Power Supply Products Company Names President

Golden Systems of Simi Valley has appointed Prakash Thanky as president.

Thanky replaces Michael D. Thomas, who resigned June 30.

The company also announced the establishment of an engineering and product development facility in Scotland.

“Prakash Thanky will be heading our operations as we redirect Golden’s market focus toward lower-volume, customized power supply products,” said Jay Tandon, chairman and chief executive officer.

Thanky, who will divide his time between Golden’s facilities in Scotland and the United States, most recently was president of Magnum Power Solutions. The facility in Scotland will be staffed with new personnel, many of whom have worked with Thanky in the past.

Golden Systems designs, manufactures and markets switching power supplies for original equipment manufacturers of personal computers and other electronic equipment. The company has located all its manufacturing operations and most of its engineering staff in export processing zones in India and Sri Lanka.
