Palmdale 47, Quartz Hill 13--Jason Anderson rushed for 151 yards and three touchdowns in 14 carries for the Falcons (7-1, 2-0).
Anderson’s first touchdown was a one-yard run set up by Leroy Lacy’s 51-yard interception return. Anderson also scored on runs of 70 and 60 yards.
Shaun Griffin added 88 yards in four carries, including a 65-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.
Palmdale’s Jan Brown ran for 35 yards in nine carries for before re-injuring his sprained left big toe. He left the game midway through third quarter.
Justin Holtfreter completed six of 15 passes for 113 yards, including a 36-yard touchdown pass to Don Simmons in the second quarter for Quartz Hill (3-5, 0-3).
Jacob Waasdorp, who rushed for 60 yards in 11 carries, scored the other Quartz Hill touchdown on a five-yard run. Jeremiah Harris added 55 yards in 21 carries.
