Sylmar 47, Monroe 20--Chris Cervantes completed nine of 13 passes for 142 yards and three touchdowns, and Donald Carpenter rushed for 162 yards and three touchdowns in 18 carries for the Spartans (7-2, 6-0) at Sylmar.
Monroe (5-4, 2-4) scored two first-quarter touchdowns on pass plays of 38 and 48 yards from Willie Alaimo to Mike Uribe. Vinny Walker rushed for 152 yards and a touchdown in 20 carries.
