How could these be called travel horror stories? Shouldn’t this have been “Duh? Where did I leave my brain?” travel stories?
The common thread in these stories was: “I left my protected pampered surroundings and tried to act as if my brain was still there.” These were classic examples of tourists trying to pass themselves off as travelers.
These folks should have stayed home and watched videos. That way the print space wasted on these stories could have been put to use showing readers some of the interesting places that are out there, beyond our pampered surroundings, for us to travel to.
