Tekelec said its chief executive, Philip J. Alford, will resign effective Dec. 31. Alford has been with the company for 11 years and decided to leave to pursue other interests. No replacement was named.
Allan Toomer, Tekelec’s senior vice president, was named president of the company.
Tekelec, based in Calabasas, is a supplier of diagnostic systems used by companies to design and maintain various communications equipment and networks.
* Edward M. Castillo, a loan consultant for Home Savings of America, has been assigned to provide home loans to borrowers in Oxnard, Camarillo and the surrounding areas.
Castillo, a former planning commissioner for the city of Oxnard, has been with Home Savings for two years.
