Youth Expo Participants Are Sought

Organizers of the 1997 Youth Expo at the Orange County Fairgrounds are searching for applicants to take part in a science fair, creative writing competition and other contests.
Students 5 through 18 years old can vie for prizes at the April 18-20 event, which includes categories for social studies, fine arts and crafts. The expo also features a talent search whose winners go on to perform at the Orange County Fair in July.
Entry forms will be available at the fairgrounds, 88 Fair Drive in Costa Mesa, beginning Friday. The deadline to apply is 4:30 p.m. Feb. 6.
