Cypress Outfielder Commits to Titans

CYPRESS — Greg Jacobs, a sophomore outfielder and relief pitcher at Cypress College, made an oral commitment to attend Cal State Fullerton, Cypress Coach Scott Pickler said Monday.

Jacobs, from Canyon High, hit .291 and drove in 24 runs for Cypress, which won the Orange Empire Conference and finished second in the state last season. Jacobs will play for Cypress this spring then transfer to Fullerton for the 1998 season.
