Fountain Valley, Senior; Volleyball/Middle Blocker
Helped by strong all-around play in the middle by Carter, Fountain Valley defeated its two closest rivals and won the Sunset League championship. Carter had 17 kills in a four-game victory over second-place Huntington Beach and a team-high 12 in a three-game victory over third-place Esperanza.
Jami Bari/Volleyball/Outside Hitter
* Dana Hills, junior. Averaged 15 kills and 20 assists in victories over San Clemente and Trabuco Hills to complete a 10-0 South Coast season.
Tam Dang and Quynh Nguyen/Tennis/Doubles
* Garden Grove, juniors. Swept their sets, 6-3, 6-2, 6-2, in 11-7 victory over Los Amigos, clinching share of Garden Grove League title.
Natalie Exon/Tennis/Singles
* Woodbridge, senior. Swept her sets in 11-7 victory over Newport Harbor to clinch league team title. Also won the league singles title.
