The Phoenix Coyotes will be without center Jeremy Roenick for up to three weeks while he recovers from a sprained right knee.
Roenick collided with New York Islander winger Brent Hughes with 12:44 remaining in the third period of Saturday night’s 3-3 overtime tie. Hughes was given a penalty for kneeing on the play. Roenick was helped off the ice and did not return.
Roenick limped out of America West Arena after the game and Coyote General Manager John Paddock confirmed that Roenick will be out for two to three weeks.
