Conejo Valley Home Sales, Prices Slip From Year Ago

There were 217 single-family homes sold in the Conejo Valley in October, compared with 241 the month before and 220 a year ago, according to the Conejo Valley Assn. of Realtors.
The median sales price for all single-family homes in October was $236,931, compared with $251,136 in October 1995. The median price is the point at which half the units sold for more and half for less.
The median-price breakdown of October sales was $140,000 for 14 homes up to two bedrooms; $190,000 for 76 three-bedroom homes; and $287,499 for 127 houses with four or more bedrooms.
In October 1995, the breakdown was $168,000 for 16 two-bedroom homes; $216,249 for 73 homes with three bedrooms; and $285,832 for 131 houses with four or more bedrooms.
There were 78 condominiums sold in October, compared with 55 in September and 54 in October 1995.
