Robinson in the Right Place Again
Guard Rumeal Robinson got his opportunity last season when Rod Strickland walked out on the Portland Trail Blazers. Called up from the CBA, Robinson played well enough in his 43 games to stick in the NBA.
A free-agent signee by the Lakers, he got his chance this season when Cedric Ceballos was hurt. Eddie Jones was moved to small forward, Byron Scott was benched and Robinson went into the opening lineup again.
“It’s a lot of fun,” he said. “It’s just good to be on the court . . . . As long as we’re getting the W’s, it’s fine.”
