Williams’ Agent Keeping Busy

Agent Dwight Manley represents only two NBA players, but his phone has been ringing off the hook.
Manley, who replaced Fred Slaughter as the agent for free-agent center Brian Williams, said there has been a lot of interest in Williams.
“I’ve probably talked to half the teams in the league,” said Manley, whose other client is Dennis Rodman. “I must be on the phone a minimum of 25 times a day regarding Brian.”

Rookie Lorenzen Wright, who became the Clippers’ starting center after injuries to Stanley Roberts and Kevin Duckworth, has averaged 10.2 points and 4.3 rebounds in six games as a starter, compared to 2.9 points and 2.3 rebounds in 21 games as a reserve.
