Injury Keeps Webber Home

Forward Chris Webber stayed in Washington because of a strained right index finger and missed the Bullets’ 104-93 loss to Charlotte.

Webber leads the Bullets in scoring (20.4) and rebounding (10.5).

In last summer’s draft, Milwaukee took Georgia Tech’s Stephon Marbury with the fourth pick, Minnesota chose Connecticut’s Ray Allen fifth, and the two were then traded for one another.

Saturday was their first matchup, and Allen scored 17 points and Marbury 14 in the Timberwolves’ 97-91 victory.
