Murray Ends His Drought

Clipper forward Lamond Murray, who had missed 16 consecutive shots, tripped and fell while driving for an uncontested layup in the second quarter and later missed two free throws.
Murray, who hadn’t scored in eight games, broke out of his shooting slump by making both shots he took in the first half. It was the first time he had scored since Jan. 5.

Swingman Eric Piatkowski, who had a season-high 16 points in Thursday night’s victory over Seattle, hopes Coach Bill Fitch expands his role.
“More than anything, I didn’t care about anything but just being out there,” Piatkowski said. “It was so much fun to actually get quality minutes and be out there.”
