Gallegly Crosses Decency Borderline

I will certainly sleep safely and securely tonight, knowing that the ever-vigilant Elton Gallegly is guarding the borders with clenched fists, keeping the community safe from crying women and children (“Gallegly Joins Police, Border Patrol Raid,” Jan. 24).

Illegal immigration is an enormous problem and a human tragedy, not a cheap photo opportunity for a publicity-starved politician. A bit of advice, Elton: Next time you want to see the immigration officials in action, leave your congressional staff and photographers at home.
