Teresa L. Derry of Oxnard, a homemaker and avid gardener, died Saturday following a brief illness. She was 72.
Derry, born Feb. 19, 1925, in Santa Monica, was a 10-year resident of Ventura County.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Lloyd; son Michael of Santa Maria; daughters Melinda Faris of Novato, Maureen McCollum of Yorba Linda, Monica Warren of Los Angeles and Mary Bizzard of Dixon; sister Anita Sandifer of Thousand Oaks and 10 grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Santa Clara Church, Oxnard. Rosary will follow at 7 p.m. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Interment will follow in Santa Clara Cemetery, Oxnard.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to a children’s charity.
Arrangements are under the direction of James A. Reardon Mortuary, Oxnard.
