16-Year-Old Boy Shot in Leg

A 16-year-old boy was shot in the leg Monday during a confrontation at a continuation high school on the grounds of Fremont High School in South Los Angeles.
The shooting occurred at 11:40 a.m. as the boy, a new student at John Hope Continuation High School, walked from a bathroom bungalow behind the school at 79th Street near Towne Avenue. Three men in a dark car pulled up. Words were exchanged and up to five shots were fired at the boy, who was hit once in the left leg, police said.
He was listed in good condition after being rushed to the hospital. No arrests were made.
