Outlook: The Tillers have won the two Golden West League titles and look to be a lock for a third straight, but they have their eyes on a Southern Section title. DeGrammont, fourth in the state meet in the 110-meter high hurdles last spring, has the nation’s fifth-fastest time in the event for a returning athlete. Coffey, Gordillo, Marciales and Smith teamed to lead the Tillers to their first Orange County title in cross-country. Vickers, a talented sprinter who transferred from Villa Park, is Shad’s younger brother.
