NCAA TOURNAMENT

Not only do the Kansas Jayhawks have the nation’s top team, they excel in the classroom as well. Senior guards Jacque Vaughn and Jerod Haase were named first-team Academic All-Americans.

Vaughn, a senior from Pasadena, is a business administration major with a 3.72 grade point average.

Also on the team were Doug Brandt of Baylor, who had a 3.98 GPA as an aviation sciences major, Adonal Foyle of Colgate and Pat Garrity of Notre Dame.
