Driver Sought in Cyclist’s Fatal Hit-Run

FULLERTON — Police are searching for the driver of a car that hit and killed a bicyclist and then fled.
Police identified the cyclist as William Cable, a 53-year-old part-time professor at Rancho Santiago College. He was found about 2 a.m. Friday in the 2200 block of East Chapman Avenue, police said.
Cable appeared to have suffered massive head injuries after being hit from behind and knocked into a light pole, police said.
