Santa Paula police on Sunday arrested two male juveniles suspected of beating and trying to rob two men during separate attacks.
Officers apprehended a 17-year-old Ventura youth and a 16-year-old San Diego youth, each with bloody wounds on his hands, shortly before 7 a.m. in the 200 block of South Mill Street, police said.
Police said the two are suspected of beating and attempting to rob Virgil Steele, 70, in the 100 block of West Harvard Street and 56-year-old Pedro Barajas in the 900 block of East Harvard Street early Sunday morning.
Neither Steele nor Barajas suffered serious injuries and nothing was taken.
