Spencer’s Bat Lifts Thousand Oaks, 4-1

Colleen Spencer broke a fifth-inning tie with a two-run home run to lead Thousand Oaks High to a 4-1 victory over Agoura in a Marmonte League softball game Thursday at Thousand Oaks Community Center Park.
Jennifer Sharron (9-2) pitched a four-hitter, struck out 15 and walked one. Jennifer Grennan doubled and scored for Agoura (11-4-1, 2-3-1).
Jennifer Richards doubled and hit a sacrifice fly for Thousand Oaks (11-2, 5-1).
Westlake 3, Newbury Park 2--Michelle Notaro hit a two-run triple in the fifth for the Warriors (8-4-1, 4-1-1) in a Marmonte League game at Borchard Park.
Tawni Yamauchi had three hits for Newbury Park (11-4, 3-3).
Saugus 9, Burbank 1--Shannon McRoy and Sonia Zapata had run-scoring singles in a five-run fifth inning for the Centurions (14-5, 2-0) in a Foothill League game at Saugus.
McRoy had four hits and two RBIs and Zapata had two hits and three RBIs.
Nicole Giordano (14-5) pitched a four-hitter with nine strikeouts.
Hart 4, Burroughs 0--Freshman Amanda Fortune (13-2) pitched a three-hitter and struck out six for Hart in a Foothill League game at Olive Park.
Anna Nordhagen had two hits for Hart (14-3, 2-0).
Quartz Hill 6, Palmdale 4--Olaya Salazar had three hits and Amber Slaton hit a two-run home run for the Rebels in a Golden League game at Palmdale.
Stephany Stone and Kristine Behen each had two hits for the Falcons (8-6, 1-1).
Hoover 6, Pasadena 1--Cori Herbert pitched a one-hitter with 18 strikeouts for the Tornadoes in a Pacific League game at Pasadena.
Herbert took a no-hitter into the seventh but Kym Kanyr doubled and later scored on passed ball.
Herbert had two hits and two RBIs for Hoover (11-3, 2-0).
Village Christian 4, L.A. Baptist 3--Jacklyn Aranda hit an RBI double in the seventh for the Crusaders (9-8, 2-0) in an Alpha League game at Village Christian.
Aranda (7-6) pitched a five-hitter with 12 strikeouts.
Oak Park 12, Bishop Deigo 0--Jamie Porter drove in three runs and scored three for the Eagles (5-7, 1-1) in a Tri-Valley League game at Oak Park.
Verdugo Hills 6, Wilson 1--Kim Wood pitched a one-hitter and struck out nine for the Dons (17-2, 6-0) in a Northern Conference game at Wilson.
El Camino Real 12, Taft 0--Ashley Redlin pitched a four-hitter and struck out seven in a Northwest Valley Conference game at El Camino Real.
Redlin had three hits for the Conquistadores (12-3, 5-1).
Kennedy 9, San Fernando 0--Sandra Durazo (14-1) pitched a one-hitter in her ninth shutout of the season in a Northwest Valley Conference game at Kennedy.
Stacey Fields had two home runs, a double and five RBIs for Kennedy (14-1, 6-0). Carin Garcia added two hits and three RBIs.
Chatsworth 16, Birmingham 2--Gina Everett had a three-run home run and Lisa Pink pitched a two-hitter for the Chancellors (11-4, 4-2) in a Northwest Valley Conference game at Chatsworth.
