Lane, from Henderson (Nev.) Basic High, had his best match of the season and helped Golden West reach a couple of lofty locations. Lane had 48 kills as Golden West beat local rival Orange Coast, 12-15, 15-10, 15-11, 15-9. The victory put Golden West in first place in the Orange Empire Conference and also in the top spot in the state rankings. Lane is averaging a conference-best six kills.
