Placentia Police Investigator Dale Carlson has been recognized as one of the city’s top employees.
The City Council recently honored Carlson with the Employee Recognition Program Award, which singles out those with outstanding work records.
Carlson, a police officer with the city since 1988, is currently assigned to the Special Enforcement Detail’s gang unit.
In addition to his duties as a gang investigator, Carlson is an assistant range master and is an elected official of the Placentia Police Officer’s Assn.
A graduate of Placentia’s Valencia High School and Fullerton College, Carlson has received numerous commendations from supervisors, community members and other law enforcement agencies and prosecutors for his dedication and professionalism.
City officials said that because of his commitment to serving the community, Carlson is considered an outstanding employee and example to others.
