ALL-CIF Players of the Year

Michelle Greco has some lofty expectations to live up to next basketball season. The 5-foot-9 junior guard from Crescenta Valley has received numerous awards, including being named the Southern Section Division I girls’ player of the year. Greco, also chosen the top girls’ player in the Southland by The Times, averaged 25 points.

Kevin Augustine, a 6-foot-2 senior guard from Santa Ana Mater Dei, averaged 19 points and eight assists. The Southern Section Division I player of the year led the Monarchs to a section title and to the semifinals of the state tournament. In the sectional Division I-A championship victory over Etiwanda, Augustine made all 18 of his free throws.
