By Any Title, This Means Trouble

There has been a lot of talk lately about the positive effects of Title IX. However, there seems to be little discussion of the damage caused by its recent misinterpretations.
There are currently about 190,000 male athletes competing at the intercollegiate level and only about 110,000 female athletes. Proportionality insists that those numbers be about the same. Please tell me a way to achieve proportionality without telling at least 40,000 of our finest young athletes to clean out their lockers for no reason other than they are male.
