Santa Margarita, Senior; Swimming
Demers couldn’t push Santa Margarita past defending champ Irvine at the Sea View League finals, but he continued to impress. He set meet records in the 200 individual medley (1 minute 52.15 seconds) and the 100 butterfly (49.40). Both are county-best marks this season. He also swam on the winning 200 medley relay team (1:38.59).
Clemente Bonilla/Baseball
* El Toro, junior. Hit two home runs and had seven RBIs in two victories over then seventh-ranked Santa Margarita, including a game-winning grand slam in the seventh inning of an 18-17 victory.
Devin Lindahl/Track and Field
* Dana Hills, sophomore. Helped unranked Dana Hills tie for first at the South Coast finals, winning the 400 (50.72) and 800 (1:57.4).
Ron Won/Golf
* University, sophomore. Shot five under par over 36 holes to win at the Pacific Coast League finals at Warner Springs Ranch.
