Catcher Lombardi Receives Honors

Dominic Lombardi, a UC Riverside catcher, has been named to the California Collegiate Athletic Assn. first team.
Lombardi, a junior catcher who played at Capistrano Valley High and Saddleback College, hit .369 with 15 doubles and 36 runs batted in.

Concordia baseball Coach Jackie Schniepp announced the signing of two recruits: Justin Drake and Andy Brutag.
Duke (6-1, 185), an infielder from Sierra College in Rocklin, batted .342 last season with two home runs and 12 doubles. Brutag (6-3, 165), a left-handed pitcher, is from Quincy (Calif.) High and was the most valuable player in the Pioneer Feather River League.
