ROBERT REDFORD, founder of the Sundance Film Festival, is joining with General Cinema Theatres to create Sundance Cinemas, which will open theaters in urban, suburban and college locations showing independent fare. Redford said it was a “logical extension” of the festival. No sites were announced.
