Volunteers Sought for Seniors Outreach Center

The city is seeking volunteers to assist the elderly at the Seniors Outreach Center.
Volunteer duties include delivering meals to homebound residents, providing in-home peer counseling and transporting clients to medical appointments, shopping centers and other businesses.
Training sessions begin Sept. 9 from 9 to 11 a.m. and continue for six weeks. Classes will be at the Seniors Outreach Center, 1718 Orange Ave. in Huntington Beach.
After completing the classes, volunteers will become a part of the Huntington Beach Council on Aging Seniors Team and given certification.
