Police Continue Probe of Window Breakings

Nearly three weeks after the rear window of the Alhambra personnel director’s car was shattered as he sat in the vehicle, police are continuing an investigation of the incident.
A review of Alhambra police records for July shows 10 similar incidents of windows in cars and buildings being randomly shattered throughout the city, said Alhambra Police Capt. Leon Burrus. There are no suspects in any of the incidents.
Personnel Director Richard Bacio had just left a Civil Service hearing at City Hall on July 29 and was in his car preparing to drive away when his rear car window was struck. Burrus said investigators have not found the object that broke the window, but believe it may have been a BB or similar projectile.
Bacio is involved in all disciplinary actions and dismissals of city employees.
