It’s not hard to understand why the Democratic and Republican parties have filed suit challenging the law resulting from Prop. 198 (editorial, Aug. 19). After so many years of monopolizing the primary election ballot, Prop. 198 could not have come as a surprise, just as their suit hasn’t. It’s all part of the struggle for political control of California.
If you would like to make an immediate difference on behalf of the people, register with the Green, Libertarian or other alternate party.
