Bibby Tinkers With Lineup

Coach Henry Bibby continues to experiment with his starting lineup. Shooting guard Elias Ayuso did not start for the first time this season Saturday against San Diego State. Four days after scoring 18 points and passing out five assists against Santa Barbara, he was replaced by senior swingman Ken Sims, who went scoreless in six minutes.

Ayuso didn’t fare much better coming off the bench, scoring three points on one-of-four shooting in 16 minutes.

USC fans jeered the officials for not calling fouls on the Aztecs. Senior Gary Williams took the Trojans’ first foul shot five minutes into the second half.
