Camera Platforms Inc. Reports Slight Profit

Camera Platforms International Inc. posted a slight profit in its third quarter despite a 24% drop in its revenues.

The North Hollywood-based supplier of camera equipment for the entertainment industry posted net profit of $10,000 in its quarter that ended Sept. 30, compared with a loss of $189,000 a year earlier. Revenues in the latest quarter were $804,000, down from $1.05 million a year ago.

For the nine-month period, the company saw its net loss narrow to $254,000, down from a loss of $1.1 million in the same period a year earlier, while its revenues rose 6% to $2.8 million, up from $2.6 million.
