Mission Viejo, Senior; Cross-Country
Gleason won the school’s first individual state cross-country title Saturday, posting the fastest time of the day on Woodward Park’s 3.1-mile course in Fresno at the state meet. Gleason finished in 15 minutes 16 seconds, the sixth fastest time in Division II since the meet began in 1987, and outsprinted Carmichael Jesuit’s Mike Altieri over the final 200 yards.

* Los Alamitos, senior. Scored three goals to help Los Alamitos defeat Costa Mesa in the Southern Section Division II final, 13-6.
Mike McNair/Football/Running back
* Mater Dei, senior. Scored three second-half touchdowns and rushed for 212 yards in 29 carries in 40-23 victory over Los Alamitos in the Southern Section Division I quarterfinals.
