Rychel Back Home After Oral Surgery
Left wing Warren Rychel returned to Southern California on Wednesday after undergoing three hours of oral surgery after Tuesday’s 3-3 tie against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
He was injured when Toronto’s Per Gustafsson accidentally hit him in the mouth with a pass late in the second period. Further dental work will be required before Rychel can return to the lineup.
The Ducks recalled center J.F. Jomphe from Cincinnati of the American Hockey League to bolster their forward lines. They also sent defenseman Pavel Trnka to Cincinnati.
