Peter Bondra had two goals and an assist as the Washington Capitals defeated the Florida Panthers, 5-2, Sunday night at Miami to earn their fourth victory in a row on the road.
Bondra, who leads the Capitals with 16 goals, has six goals in four games and a point in his last eight.
Calgary 3, Carolina 3--The smallest crowd of the season saw the Carolina Hurricanes rally from a three-goal deficit for a tie at Greensboro, N.C.
Attendance was announced at 5,516, which was 36 fewer than the turnout for the Hurricanes’ home game earlier this month against Ottawa.
Nelson Emerson capped the comeback when he tipped in Geoff Sanderson’s 30-foot blast with 5:24 to play.
