Vitali Yachmenev, on loan from the Kings, scored one goal and assisted on another Sunday night as the Ice Dogs defeated the Kansas City Blades, 3-2, at the Long Beach Arena.
The Ice Dogs (16-7-1) remained in first in the Southwest Division of the International Hockey League. Goalie Jamie Storr made a season-high 36 saves for his fifth consecutive victory.
The start of the game was delayed four hours because the Blades’ equipment was shipped to Kansas City from Las Vegas, rather than to Los Angeles.
