Trojans Will Be Rooting for Sun Devils

Last week, Arizona State was pulling for USC to upset UCLA to keep the Sun Devils’ hopes alive of playing in the Rose Bowl.
This week, USC will be pulling for No. 12 Arizona State against its rival, Arizona.
That’s because USC is considered a slam-dunk for the Aloha Bowl, as long as Arizona State wins Friday and is selected for the alliance’s Fiesta Bowl.
The Aloha badly wants USC for a probable matchup against Oklahoma State, though it coveted Missouri. If Arizona State loses, the Aloha picture gets murkier, but USC would still have a chance.
With other bowl options now limited, USC anticipates staying home if it doesn’t go to the Aloha.
