3 Students Appointed Youth Ambassadors

Three Valencia High School students have been selected as Placentia’s first Youth Ambassadors.
The program recently was started to recognize exceptional students from local schools, service clubs and churches.
The ambassadors, all seniors, are Christina Maria Iskandar, 17; Mary Meshreky, 17; and Debbie Torrez, 17.
Iskandar, senior class president, is involved in drama and is a Recycle Placentia Teen Team member.
Meshreky, 17, tutors students and is involved in the Science Olympiad program and Western Assn. of Schools and Colleges.
Torrez, student body president, was recently selected as homecoming queen and is also captain of the Placentia Police Department’s Explorer Post.
Nominations are being accepted from local service, church or school groups for additional ambassador positions. Information: (714) 993-8117.
