Outstanding small-company owners have a chance to be named the national “Small Business Person of the Year” under the federal Small Business Administration’s annual contest going on now.
The winner from the Los Angeles regional office--who will be profiled in The Times--will go on to compete statewide and nationally.
The contest ends with a White House ceremony and three days of events in Washington, D.C.
The SBA will also recognize outstanding small-business advocates, small-business exporters, young entrepreneurs, and federal contractors and subcontractors.
Nov. 14 is the deadline for entries with nomination packages.
