TCR, Four Seasons Invest in Asian Travel Firm

Los Angeles-based TCR, the largest U.S. licensee for Thrifty Car Rental, and Four Seasons Auto Inc., a Japanese membership club, are investing $15 million in Osaka-based Comson Co. to help the Japanese travel firm open several hundred Thrifty rental-car locations in Japan. The investors also plan to develop car-rental and travel-oriented businesses in other parts of Asia. TCR has been in business since 1993 and has 171 employees and annual sales of $120 million.
