Former Parliament Member to Speak

A former member of the British Parliament will speak at a Laguna Niguel Republican Women’s Federated fund raiser on Oct. 11.
Sir Eldon Griffiths, who was elected to Parliament in 1964 and served on the House of Commons’ Foreign Affairs Committee, will speak on European politics at Michael’s Supper Club, 24399 Dana Drive.
A Laguna Niguel resident, Griffiths was also a delegate to the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, France and served on the West European Union in Paris.
He started his career as a journalist, working in the 1930s for Newsday in New York.
The cost of attending the speech, which includes lunch, is $30. The event starts at 11:30 a.m.
