Night Out Offered to Kids--and Parents

The Recreation Department offers Kids Night Out every Friday from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m.

Under adult supervision, children ages 5 to 12 play games, make crafts, view movies and participate in activities at the recreation center. The program also serves as a baby-sitting service for parents.

A separate program for younger children, Toddler Night Out, is offered Oct. 24 and Nov. 21 from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m.

Registration is on a first-come basis at the Los Alamitos Recreation & Community Services Department, 10911 Oak St.

Fees for children 5 to 12 are $12 a night. Toddlers are $15.
